Lithuanian EMS Games are aimed at developing professional qualification, communication and cooperation.
Lithuanian EMS Games are organized by "Lietuvos greitosios medicinos pagalbos įstaigų asociacija", "Lietuvos skubiosios medicinos draugija", UAB "Krizių tyrimo centras" and other partners.
I. TIME AND PLACE
Lithuanian EMS Games will be held in Kaunas on September 15 - 17, 2022. Event venue: "Radisson Hotel Kaunas", K. Donelaičio st. 27, Kaunas
II. PARTICIPANTS OF THE GAMES
Requirements for the team:
– The team consists of three people.
– One member of the team is an EMS vehicle driver.
– The team has an EMS vehicle with all the specialized equipment and apparel.
– The team arrives at the scene of accident via their own EMS vehicle and equipment.
– Treatment at the scene of accident is done by the whole team, the process is examined.
– Conversing is done via radio communication.
III. Competition scenarios
A clinical situation is prepared for each scenario.
Scenarios (scenes of accident) are prepared by incorporating manikins and (or) simulated victims.
Medical treatment is provided in accordance with the 2020 recommendations of the AHA American Hear Association, ERC European Resuscitation Council.
During the medical treatment, the team carries out actions in stages. According to the situation and necessity the following actions are performed:
1. Primary and detailed (secondary) examination of the patient;
2. Anamnesis;
3. Establishment of the main problem;
4. Treatment;
5. Patient transportation.
Upon arrival at the staged scene of accident, the examiner takes 1 minute to introduce the team to the scenario.
Appropriate time is allocated to the completion of the scenario after which the examiner evaluates the team's performance.
After completion of the scenario, the examiner provides the team with information about their evaluation.
IV. EVALUATION
The evaluation criteria is done in accordance with 2020 recommendations of the AHA American Heart Association and the ERC European Resuscitation Council
V. EXAMINATION
The work of examiners is coordinated by Games' senior examiner.
The examination team consists of "Krizių tyrimo centras" instructors certified by AHA or ERC.
VI. REGISTRATION
1. Apply the participant registration form by 31st of August.
Registration fees (2022-07-11 to 2022-08-31):
Team fee – 900,00 EUR
Participant fee – 200,00 EUR
2. Pay the Lithuanian EMS Games registration fee.

VII. DECIDING THE WINNERS
Teams with most points accumulated will be declared winners of Lithuanian EMS Games. There will be three 1st place awards given out to large-scale EMS establishments, lesser-scale EMS establishments and guests accordingly.
